The Numbered Collection developed from abstract shapes and forms, drawn from what feels to me like subconscious memory of ‘the beginning’.
"No soul could have spoken of the universe’s origin since no one could have existed to witness it,” said poet Ken Chen, yet I feel it as an energy.
Every piece in the work combines explosion of colours, organic movement of shapes and geometrical order and, of course, numbers. Numbers come from the mathematic order and theories we humans have developed to help define our place in the universe.
